To Do 2010: 3 Months of Food Storage

What's scarier that trying to plan a whole week of meals? (What?! That's a very daunting task to me! What if the meal I planned for Friday earlier that week doesn't sound so appealing to me by the time I get to it?) Taking on 3 months-worth of a food plan. And it all has to be storage-friendly. Along with this, I have to learn about a whole new world of nutrition. I've done a little here and there, but I've never seriously sat down and planned everything out, mostly because I didn't know how. So why am I doing this, you ask? Because we've been commanded to and told so many times how important it is. There are so many situations where having food storage would be a life-saver. Literally.

And so, as one of our New Year's Resolutions, Weston and I have decided to develop our three-month plan. After a little bit of research, I think I've finally found a way to do it that makes perfect sense. Thanks to this website, I'm not so terrified of this project. I actually look forward to checking this off the list.

I agree with you! Food storage is something that we are always reminded to do. The Ensign a few months back had a story on food storage and how this couple bought 2 cans of food every shopping trip. It really added up and helped them when jobs were lost, etc. Kyle and I started doing that but we need to figure out a way to not eat them within a week of buying them :) Good luck!
