Mad Notes

Last night, Weston and I went to the Utah Symphony at Abravanel Hall. On the program:

Claude Debussy ~ La Damoiselle élue
Olivier Messiaen ~ Les Offrandes oubliées
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ~ Requiem, K. 626

The feature piece was Mozart's Requiem, full and uncut. And it was amazing! We both really loved it!

I was really surprised at how small the symphony was, but it sounded like there were hundreds of people playing instruments. My favorite was Benedictus. Weston's favorite was Dies isreas.

Re-Finding music from the past...

...is SUCH a simple joy.
You know the feeling, when something triggers in your memory and that song come rushing back to you with all the good times and memories? LOVE that feeling, and LOVE this song.



As I was holding The Goose earlier this song just came to me. I know, I know, I'm helplessly in love with her, and it's the greatest thing I will ever do.

Good music is AWESOME!
